Go Girls Club, Inc. Is a nonprofit corporation formed to serve girls ages 8 – 18 years old. It is our mission to help young girls build self-esteem, develop leadership skills and recognize the value of sisterhood.

Our program is structured around the girl and three very important transition periods of her life.

Age  8 – 10  is a very influential time in her life. She's watching and processing how she wants to be recognized, how she likes to be treated, and what's important to her. Friends and being accepted are at the top of her priority list. How she looks and what she feels become her guide.

Age 11 – 14 she is no longer considering herself a little girl. The very things that influenced her 8 – 10 will now develop. Whatever opinions she has about herself slowly becomes her reality. If she lacks confidence, this will affect her effectiveness. She will transition roughly. If she is a leader and doesn't know it, she may come off as bossy or even be considered a bully. This stage of her transition is scary. Her body is changing. Her desires are changing and she may be confused. She is still moldable. She can be taught self-esteem and leadership with a little hard work and dedication.

Age 15 – 18 she is ready to take the world by storm! She is coming into her adult woman. She has a clearer view of her future self, good or bad. She's gotten used to the changes she's gone through and is now understanding. She is strong minded. She is molded by the events and transitions of 8 –14. She's had some tragic moments as well as great moments. She is trying to think like an adult but still trapped by the things that developed and guided her 8 - 14. She now has more peer pressure to deal with. At first, it was about how her friends looked at her and if she fits in, too does HE like me? Am I good enough? Am I smart enough? Do I have what it takes to be a successful woman? What kind of woman will I be? She starts looking for herself in other women, trying to relate on some level. She is getting ready to transition into the unknown.

Go Girls Club Inc. leaders are committed to nurturing each stage of her life. We are women that have overcome many obstacles and have successfully transitioned. Each stage of the girl is important and has to be strategically molded. We understand that every level of her transition has to be treated with respect to her circumstances, approached with love and guidance.

This also gives our Go Girls Club leaders a chance to give back by sharing life experiences partnered with the "How We Grow Our Girls" curriculum, to help inspire positive change in our girls.

Every girl is unique in her design. Go Girls Club Inc. leaders will never try to change who she is, but help her discover why she is, by tracking her growth with her own individualized self-improvement chart. Our mentees will earn badges of honor every time she demonstrates an act of purpose through community service, or achieve her short-term goals set by herself.
